Ear Bling & Booty Bling

We would love to introduce a new and fun way to get creative with short and long haired dogs alike!

I know some of us get tired of the same old same old.. right? Bandannas and bows can be beautiful in their own way. But wouldn't you like to spice it up a bit?

It is a new craze sweeping professional grooming salons. Ear Bling and Booty Bling! What's that you say? Earrings for dogs? Do you actually pierce a dogs ear?.... Yes, I had a client actually ask me that. No, it is not an actual earring, it is glued on the ear. Some groomers out there will want to have nothing to do with using glue. Or as a matter of fact, some groomers are afraid a pet or small child may swallow said 'bling' and would never do it in the first place. That is absolutely fine! To each his/her own! Now for those of us groomers who love to get a little creative I would be so happy to show all how it is done!

Products Needed:

Glue: First of all, I am not talking about Hot Glue or Super Glue! No no no!.. I am talking about water based glue like Elmer's School Glue or Tacky Glue. A glue that can be soaked off with a wet wash cloth.

Embellishments: There are a variety of things you can find at your local craft store. A Hobby Lobby is just down the road from me and that is where I get most of my deals. Rhinestones come in a lot of different sizes and prices. Choose whatever kind you like. Make sure to look near the beads are and also up and down the scrap booking isles!

Misc: I sometimes use my hemostats to help put small rhinestones on the dog's ears. Otherwise, no other tools are needed!

Here is a short video I quickly put together for one of my Instagram followers. BTW  follow me @jackiethegroomer. ;) Enjoy! (full screen is viewed best. leave a comment and subscribe!)
